New Call for ITCs Conference Grants – Empowering Young Researchers and Innovators in the OpenSense Community!

๐Ÿ“ข We are thrilled to announce the opening of the new call for Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) Conference Grants, spanning from November 2023 to October 2024. These grants are designed to support Young Researchers and Innovators affiliated with legal entities in ITCs and Near Neighbor Countries (NNCs), facilitating their attendance at conferences and events related to the OpenSense Action.

๐ŸŒ Grant Coverage:

  • For face-to-face meetings, each conference grant participant can receive a financial contribution of up to 1500 euros. This includes accommodation and meal expenses, with the daily limit determined by the event’s host country. Additionally, participants can claim up to 500 euros for conference fees.
  • For virtual meetings, a maximum of 500 euros can be reimbursed to cover registration fees.

Meet Anna ล paฤkovรก from the Czech Technical University in Prague, who presented her work, “Information-Based Approach for Quantifying Uncertainty in Precipitation Estimates From Commercial Microwave Links,” in person at The European Geosciences Union General Assembly in April 2023 at the Austria Center Vienna.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Anna’s Experience:

The presentation took place in Austria Center Vienna on Thursday, 27th of April, during a morning session. Meeting other OpenSense community members and researchers was a fantastic experience. I greatly appreciate the opportunity for in-person contact. The OpenSense logo in presentations served as a great icebreaker for engaging conversations with fellow OpenSense members.
