OPENSENSE Training School on Merging and Application of Opportunistic Rainfall Sensors

The OpenSense Training School on Merging and Application of Opportunistic Rainfall Sensor data is open for applications via https://indico.scc.kit.edu/event/4626/registrations/785/

What: This training school will provide hands-on training on methods, code, and data to showcase the preparation and usage of opportunistic rainfall sensor (OS) data from CML, PWS, and SML in real-world applications. Our main target groups are young researchers (PhD students, Postdocs) and professionals in the field of hydrology, hydrometeorology or from related fields who work with rainfall data.

Where: The training school will take place at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary

WhenMarch 31st – April 4th  2025 — The application window will close on 22 January 2025. We will send out official invitations at the beginning of February.

Who is it for: Young researchers (PhDs, Postdocs) and professionals (e.g. from hydrology, hydrometeorology or related fields) who actively work with rainfall data.

Who is eligible for reimbursement: Participants affiliated with a COST Member country or a near-neighboring country (NNC) will have the opportunity to claim reimbursement for their travel costs and will get a daily allowance.
